Elapsed Time + Math Notebook Freebie

I love Charity Boone's number line idea for teaching elapsed time. Here's a picture of her anchor chart! Elapsed time is always a challenging skill for my fourth graders to master- So I'm going to try teaching it this way!

I made a sheet of number lines for my students to glue into their math notebooks. There are six number lines on a page. Enjoy!

  1. That's actually my anchor chart from my classroom! Crazy how you find stuff on here :)I have lots of other anchor charts I've created to use in my classroom, if you want to check them out. I'm so glad you found this useful. It made me smile :)

  2. Thanks, Charity! I loved this anchor chart and re-created it in my own classroom- the number line really seemed to be an easier method of teaching elapsed time. The printable number lines are one of my most downloaded items on TPT. Do you have a blog that I can link to? I'm going to update the post to include your name.

  3. Thanks! You definitely didn't have to do that. It just made my day that someone else could use it! I love your idea of printing the number lines for them. I actually don't have a blog...yet. I think that will be on my summer "to do" list. Thanks for your great ideas on here :)
