Again, I realize that my blog is called Fourth Grade Freebies and the past three posts have neither been about fourth grade nor freebies... Oops! The freebies will DEFINITELY return after I finish this FlipChart project.
But for now, I'd like to share more amazing math smart board files! I have just finished SECOND GRADE and am in the process of completing the third grade files.
For more information about this big project and my goals, click here.
The first file is a Promethean Board file that covers all of the Geometry, Time, and Measurement skills taught in second grade. The pages are easy to use, fun, and interactive. Also, every page has a link to the corresponding IXL.com skill. If you click on the little girl at the top of the page, it'll take you to the website for 20 free practice questions.
Activity pages included on the Geometry, Time, and Graphing FlipChart:
Value of Coins (Drag coins onto piggy bank- students write amount of money)
Time to 5 minutes (Students rotate clock arms and write times)
Matching Digital and Analog Clocks (Students drag digital clock cards to analog clocks that match- sound effects play for correct answers)
Plane and Solid Figure Attributes (Sort shapes on a Venn Diagram)
Recognize Plane Figures (Drag real life objects and shapes into correct boxes)
Recognize Solid Figures (Drag real life objects and shapes into correct boxes)
Symmetry (Draw lines of symmetry through shapes)
Congruent Figures (Find and circle congruent shapes.
Fractional Models (make and name models of rectangular fractions.
Translating Patterns (Make a pattern by dragging shapes. Students write the kind of pattern ex: ABAB)
The second file is a Promethean Board file that covers all of the number sense and computation skills taught in second grade. Click here to get it! The pages are easy to use, fun, and interactive. Again, every page has a link to the corresponding IXL.com skill. If you click on the little girl at the top of the page, it'll take you to the website for 20 free practice questions.
Activity pages included on this flipchart:
Basic Addition Facts: Sums to 18 (Dice game- students roll 3 digital dice and write an addition equation.)
Count by twos- (hundreds chart and highlighter)
Numeric Patterns (Type a pattern, students continue in pen.)
Compare Numbers to 100 (Random number generators and greater gators)
Basic Subtraction Facts (drag strawberries into a shopping bag- write an equation.)
Model Two Digit Add/Subtraction (Base 10 blocks)
3 Digit Subtraction w/ Regrouping (Random number generators and base 10 blocks)
3 digit addition with regrouping (see above)
Fact Families (random number generators and fact family triangles)
Commutative Property of addition (Number generators- write the related fact.)
Word names to 1,000 (Number generator and writing line)
Recognize/Compare Pictoral Models (Base 10 blocks, greater gators, and lines to write the numbers)
Here are a few pictures of my two second grade math flipchart files.
